Installing Active directory on windows Server 2003

INSTALL ACTIVE DIRECTORY IN SERVER

Now i will show you how to prepare active directory in server machine. Now if you know this good and for those who don't learn and ask question.

First Update your windows server from windows update


Configure the network settings First


Enter the IP settings for the dns and make sure you set the same ip for DNS


Click on Manage Server


Click on Add or Remove Roles


Click on Next Button 


Watch it do its task


Choose Custom Configuration


Select Domain Controller from the list and click next


Click next after you read this :)


Watch it Install :(


Now click on next... :D hehe piece of cake


Just read it and Click next... : ; Come on its in plain English :(


Choose Domain Controller for new domain as its a fresh install and click on next


Select a domain name


Select a netbios Name


Select the folder for logs and database, its advisable to leave it to default


Select the Sysvol folder location, Damit the Application should find it by default


Now it will ask you to install DNS server as we didnt so select the appropriate option


Choose the compatibility mode


Create a Restore mode password


Review the summary and click next... :)


Watch what it does.... :)


Now it seems to configure something


When it asks for CD just give it and click ok


Now it seems to installing ;)


Ok its configuring something... i wonder what :-s.


we are almost done click on finish


Restart the computer now


once done it shows the beauty... click on finish


Have a look at the role its a DC and DNS wow... ;)
